Run Fest, First Half Marathon That Joins Sports And Education Held October 30

JAKARTA - In collaboration with the Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy (Kemenparekraf), Run Fest organized by Klik Dokter invites the public to reactivate a healthy lifestyle in the surrounding environment after COVID-19.

Not only promoting sports in the community, this event was also held as a real implementation of the Health Tourism program. This is as stated by Race Director of Run Fest, Satrio Guardian.

"This event (Run Fest) was held to revive the healthy lifestyle of the community after COVID-19, why do we choose a marathon because running is a sport that is very easy and can be done by everyone just by intention," said Satria during a press conference in Sudirman, Central Jakarta on Sunday afternoon.

Carrying the theme of health tourism, Run Fest will be held on October 30 in Yogyakarta with the Mandala Krida Stadium as the main point of the series of activities. Yogyakarta itself was chosen because this city is considered to have a history value related to the Indonesian health world.

This is the first time Run Fest has been held and why we chose the city of Yogyakarta, because Yogyakarta is a city with a rich medical history legacy. There are also many traces of the location of the beginning of our health world (Indonesian countries) developing," said Mia Argianti as VP Marketing Klik Doctor on the same occasion.

Run Fest will be the first half marathon agenda to combine sports activities and education about the history and journey of the Indonesian health world to date.

"In the activity later, participants will pass the route that has been made, where we choose the route because it passes through historical locations related to the medical world. One of them is the Sardjito Hospital, the herbal industry center in Yogyakarta and many more historical locations.

When passing a route that has a historic spot, the runners will be able to see the mark of the place. They will be presented with information in the form of text and images related to the history of the location they passed and can dig up more information at the finish line later," added Satria.

Run Fest itself is divided into four categories, namely fun walk, 5K, 10K and 21K which can be followed by senior runners over 40 years. Not only the marathon agenda, this event will also be enlivened by game activities, culinary festivals, health consultations and sharing sessions for health tourism.
