The Wife Of The Minister Of Marine Affairs And Fisheries, Edhy Prabowo, Was Also Brought To The KPK Office

JAKARTA - Apart from arresting the Minister of Maritime Affairs and Fisheries Edhy Prabowo, the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) also arrested 16 other people, one of whom was Edhy Prabowo's wife, Iis Rosita Dewi. This assurance was conveyed by the Acting Spokesperson for the KPK in the field of prosecution Ali Fikri.

"The total number currently secured by KPK officers is 17 people, including the Minister of Maritime Affairs and Fisheries and his wife," Ali said in a written statement to journalists, Wednesday, November 25.

Apart from Edhy's wife, a number of elements who were also arrested in the incident were officials at the Ministry of Maritime Affairs and Fisheries (KKP).

"Apart from that, there are also some private parties," he said.

Meanwhile, regarding the current condition, Edhy Prabowo is still undergoing intensive examination at the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) office.

Furthermore, after the examination is carried out, the KPK will determine the parties to be named as suspects. The time held by the anti-grave institution is 1x24 hours.

KPK chairman Firli Bahuri previously confirmed that his men arrested the Minister of Marine Affairs and Fisheries, Edhy Prabowo.

This arrest was carried out by the prosecution team after Edhy and his entourage arrived at Soekarno-Hatta Airport, Cengkareng, Tangerang, to be precise at Terminal 3 of Honolulu, Hawaii, United States.

He was allegedly arrested in connection with an alleged corruption case in the export of lobster fries or seeds.

In the process of arrest, the KPK sent three task forces. One of the task force teams was led by a senior KPK investigator, Novel Baswedan.
