Prince William: I Know Today Will Come, But It Still Takes Time To Live Without Grandma Now It's Real
JAKARTA - Prince William, who is now called Prince of Wales, knows that his grandmother, Queen Elizabeth II, is indeed impossible to live forever. But to be able to accept the fact that now the Queen no longer exists, it takes time.
In a statement, the Prince of Wales spoke about the losses and impacts of the Queen's departure on her wife, and children.
"On Thursday, the world lost an extraordinary leader, whose commitment to the country," William said.
I, however, have lost a grandmother. And while I will mourn her loss, I also feel very grateful. I have benefited from the Queen's wisdom and decisions so far," said the prince.
My wife has twenty years of guidance and support. My three children should spend the holidays with him and create memories that will last them for the rest of their lives."
He was at my most happy moment of my life. And he was at my side during the saddest days of my life,"
"I knew this day would come, but it will take some time before the reality of life without Grandma really feels real."
William recalled a statement from Queen Elizabeth, who once said that sadness is the price for love.
"All the sadness we will feel in the coming weeks will be proof of the love we feel for our extraordinary Queen.
"I will respect his memory by supporting my father, the King, in every way I can," he said.
