LEBAK - The ranks of the Criminal Investigation Unit of the Lebak Police of the Banten Police have uncovered a criminal case of misuse of subsidized gas fuel with suspect DA (19), NK (21), AP(33). Lebak Police Chief AKBP Wiwin Setiawan explained that the suspects carried out gas transfers, or mixed subsidized gas into non-subsidized gas cylinders with the aim of profit.
"The suspects carried out the action by buying a 3 kg gas cylinder that received a government subsidy, then transferring the gas cylinder to a non-subsidized gas cylinder with a size of 5.5 kg, a size of 12 kg and a size of 50 kg, using a regulatory tube. Then the suspected gas is sold at a non-subsidized price. explained AKBP Wiwin in a written statement, Friday, September 9.
It was explained that the perpetrators carried out gas mixing at night, so that residents would not know.
"To smooth out the action, the perpetrators moved LPG gas in the early hours of the morning between 00.00 and 03.00, in a house far from residential areas," said Wiwin.
The perpetrators sold non-subsidized gas only to JN (DPO) and NS (DPO) who are currently still being chased.
Furthermore, Wiwin said that from each tube he sells he gets a profit of Rp. 25,000.
"The profit obtained was from the activity of misuse of non-subsidized LPG gas cylinders in the size of 5.5 kg, amounting to Rp. 25,000 per tube. Meanwhile, non-subsidized LPG gas cylinders measuring 12 kg, the suspect made a profit of Rp. 30,000 to Rp. 40,000 per tube. Meanwhile, non-subsidized gas cylinders are 50 kg, the suspect gets a profit of Rp. 100,000 to Rp. 150,000 per tube. Beber Wiwin.
During the activity, continued Wiwin, the perpetrators have made a profit of approximately Rp. 10,000,000.
Untuk mempertanggung jawabkan perbuatannya, pelaku DA (pemilik kegiatan) dikenakan pasal 55 UU No. 11 Tahun 2020 tentang Cipta Kerja sebagaimana perubahan atas UU No. 22 Tahun 2001 tentang Oil dan Gas Bumi, dengan ancaman pidana penjara maksimal 6 tahun penjara dan denda maksimal Rp6 miliar.
Meanwhile, the suspect NK (employees) and suspect AP (suspecters of LPG subsidies) are subject to Article 55 of Law no. 11 of 2020 concerning Job Creation as amended by Law no. 22 of 2001 concerning Oil and Gas of Earth Jo. Article 55 of the Criminal Code carries a maximum penalty of 6 years in prison and a maximum fine of IDR 6 billion.
As evidence, officers have secured 307 LPG gas cylinders with sizes of 3 kg, 5.5 kg, 12 kg and 50 kg, 48 regulatory hoses, two pick up cars and one digital scale found at the crime scene (TKP) in Badminton Village, Lebak Asih Village, Curugbitung District, Lebak Regency, Banten.
