Russia Win 103 Ukrainian Army Related To Crime, Including 21 Officers
JAKARTA - The Russian Investigative Committee reported on Friday that it has so far sued 103 Ukrainian soldiers, including 21 officers.
Currently, 80 criminal cases have been investigated, with case files forwarded to authorities at the Donbass, the Investigative Committee said in a statement.
That includes 66 cases on charges of killing at least 167 civilians and injuring 22 people, as well as 14 criminal investigations into the shooting of civilian infrastructure facilities.
"So far, 103 Ukrainian soldiers, including 21 officers, 10 platoons and 72 soldiers, have been brought to justice," the Investigative Committee said in a statement.
Five other criminal cases on charges filed against five commanders, for barbaric treatment of civilians in the People's Republic of Lugansk (LPR) and Donetsk (DPR) have been prepared to be filed with prosecutors in two Donbass republics.
The Committee added that more than 1,500 other criminal investigations were still being carried out.
He added that Russian Investigative Committee Chairman Alexander Bastrykin chaired a meeting in Novaya Kakhovka, to investigate crimes committed by Ukrainian forces against Russian civilians and soldiers in LPRR and the DPR, as well as in Ukraine.
