Present At Tong-Tong Fair The Hague, BRI Brings Potential Products For Development Of MSMEs To The International Cancah

JAKARTA - PT Bank Rakyat Indonesia (Persero) Tbk (BRI) has included micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs) assisted in the largest Eurasian cultural festival in the world of "Tong-Tong Fair" which took place in The Hague, Netherlands on September 1, 2022 - September 12, 2022.

BRI's Director of Small and Medium Business Amam Sukriyanto said this strategy is a way for the company to strengthen its commitment to introducing the potential of national MSME products to the international arena.

"This is a good opportunity because the assisted MSME products will be seen by tens of thousands of visitors from various countries," he said in a written statement from The Hague on Friday, September 9.

According to Amam, BRI seeks to realize the vision and mission as an agent of development that always encourages MSMEs to go global.

"This momentum is an achievement because it can introduce the uniqueness of local MSME products at the international level," he said.

Amam explained that BRI's MSME credit portfolio grew by 9.81 percent year on year from IDR 837.8 trillion at the end of June 2021 to IDR 920 trillion at the end of June 2022.

"This makes the proportion of MSME loans compared to BRI's total loans continue to creep up, to 83.2 percent," he asserted.

Furthermore, this little bank is known to have managed to record total loans of Rp1,104.7 trillion or grew 8.75 percent.

Meanwhile, lending to all loan segments grew positively, with the main support, namely the micro segment which grew 15 percent, the consumer segment grew 5.2 percent, the corporate segment grew 3.7 percent and the small and medium segment grew 2.7 percent.

"These various achievements succeeded in recording a consolidated net profit of IDR 24.8 trillion or growing 98.3 percent in June 2022 with total assets increasing 6.3 percent to IDR 1,652.8 trillion," concluded Amam.
