DG Hubdat Promotes Readiness Of Public Officials To Face Legal Problems

JAKARTA - The Directorate General of Land Transportation (Ditjen Hubdat) of the Ministry of Transportation (Kemhub) is holding a legal advocacy socialization activity in Solo, Central Java. This aims to provide an understanding of information and insight, if at any time you get a lawsuit or a summons from law enforcement officials.

"We need to pay close attention together so that in facing the lawsuit and summons we can all carry out well so that in the future it does not cause something we do not want," said Head of Legal and Public Relations, Directorate General of Public Relations Endy Irawan, in a written statement, Tuesday, November 24.

As a legal entity in this democratic country, continued Endy, the Ministry of Transportation, especially the Directorate General of Hubdat, certainly cannot be separated from legal problems and complaints from the public.

The petition for a lawsuit includes, for example, the review of the Road Transportation Traffic Act at the Constitutional Court. As well as testing the Permenhub related to online transportation which has been carried out several judicial reviews at the Supreme Court. As well as several other lawsuits, both civil suit and state administration lawsuit.

Endy added, Ditjen Hubdat also received several summons from law enforcement officials from both the police and the prosecutor's office.

"Several times our officials have been asked to appear as experts and as witnesses in cases related to the duties and functions of the Directorate General of Transportation," said Endy.

This is increasingly increasing along with the existence of land transportation management centers (BPTD) throughout Indonesia which are extensions of the Directorate General of Transportation in the regions.

Endy said, legal advocacy socialization activities in the field of hubdat are a forum for internal directorates to get information, insights, suggestions and input, as well as views. The hope is that this can make it smooth if the Directorate General of Hubdat receives a lawsuit and summons from law enforcement officials.
