Ticket To Paradise, Julia Roberts' Journey Back To Bali To Honor His Child's Marriage

JAKARTA - Julia Roberts returns to Bali through the film Ticket to Paradise. After successfully lifting Bali through Eat Pray Love, now Julia is back in bed with George Clooney. The film begins its global cinema launch on September 12.

George Clooney and Julia Roberts played a character named David and Georgia, who both ruled out the ego to stop their daughter's wedding plans, Lily, with someone she just met while visiting Bali.

Not wanting the princess to make the same mistake as they did 25 years earlier, the couple decided to travel to the Island of the Gods to disrupt the marriage.

Directed by Ol Parker, Ticket to Paradise is the fifth film starring Clooney and Roberts together.

It was fun... We enjoyed it because we played characters mocking each other. In our opinion, it's funny," Clooney said at the premiere of the film in London, as reported by Reuters broadcast on Thursday, September 8.

"We also agree, it's a nice time to do something light, (we) have gone through a bit together as humans, so we think it will be fun," added Clooney as quoted by ANTARA.

Meanwhile, Roberts is also known for starring in a number of romantic comedy films in the 1980s and 1990s, from Pretty Woman to Notting Hill. On the other hand, Clooney's last romantic comedy film was One Fine Day (1996).

Initially it was very tense when you hear their names (star duo). And then when you meet them, all those worries are gone and you can see them like humans in general, said Kaitlyn Dever, who plays Lily's character.

Taking a place between the vast views, the film has a lot of scenes as David and Georgia exchange sarcastic comments before they start loosening their ego again. One of the interesting scenes is when these two characters get drunk and dance at a club to make their daughters ashamed.

Apart from Clooney, Roberts, and Dever, the film "Ticket to Paradise" also stars Billie Lourd, Maxime Bouttier, and Lucas Bravo.
