IDR 62.1 Billion Was Disbursed By DKI For Transjakarta Fuel Subsidy
JAKARTA - The DKI Transportation Agency has disbursed a fuel oil subsidy (BBM) for TransJakarta of Rp. 62.1 billion. This was done following the increase in subsidized fuel prices.
"Of course the subsidy costs will be added," said the Head of the DKI Transportation Agency, Syafrin Liputo while attending the inauguration of the zero-rupiah down payment in Cilangkap, East Jakarta, Thursday, September 8, quoted from Antara.
The provincial government has calculated the amount of the fuel subsidy to TransJakarta after the subsidized fuel price increase.
The Transportation Agency will also automatically allocate the additional subsidy from the public service obligation budget (PSO).
Based on data from the DKI Transportation Agency, the PSO funds for public transportation in 2019 reached Rp3.1 trillion and increased in 2022 to Rp3.5 trillion.
In 2022, the amount of PSO for public transportation in DKI will reach around Rp. 4 trillion with the largest allocation of TransJakarta of around Rp. 3.2 trillion, MRT of around Rp. 600 billion and LRT of Jakarta of around Rp. 200 billion.
With the allocation of fuel subsidies to TransJakarta, the DKI Provincial Government has not increased the tariff for public transportation that has been integrated with Jak Lingko.
The current TransJakarta tariff remains the same, which is Rp3,500.
Meanwhile, the tariff for public transportation which increases, only the regular urban transportation (angkot) rate has not been integrated with JakLingko in the amount of Rp. 1,000 so that it becomes Rp. 6,000 as a result of the subsidized price increase (BBM).
The proposed tariff increase was submitted by the Jakarta City Transportation Council (DTKJ) to the Governor of DKI through the DKI Transportation Agency.
DKI BUMD, PT TransJakarta operates 3,500 bus fleets.
Of that number, as many as 30 other bus fleets use electric fuel and are targeted to reach 100 electric bus units by the end of 2022.
Previously, the government raised the price of Pertalite subsidy fuel to Rp. 10,000 per liter from the previous Rp. 7,650 per liter starting Saturday (3/9) at 14.30 WIB.
Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources Arifin Tasrif at a press conference at the Merdeka Palace, Jakarta, Saturday (3/9), said the government also increased the price of subsidized fuel for diesel from IDR 5,150 per liter to IDR 6,800 per liter.
