Support Environmental Friendly Energy Development, Energy Gagas Will Gaslink Supply To Jasa Marga Toll Road

JAKARTA - Subholding Gas PT Pertamina (Persero) through its affiliate company, PT Gagas Energi Indonesia will supply Gaslink products to the PT Jasa Marga (Persero) Tbk to support the development of environmentally friendly energy-based infrastructure.

Director of Operations and Commercial Affairs, Dian Kuncoro, said Gaslink products will soon be present at Rest Area Km 88 A&B on the Purbaleunyi Toll Road, Karawang, West Java, and Transit Central Development (TCD) Taman Mini, Jakarta. The two toll road facilities are managed by Jasa Marga's subsidiary, PT Jasamarga Related Business (JMRB).

The signing of the gas buying and selling agreement (PJBG) for the two toll road facilities was carried out by Dian Kuncoro and the Director of Building & Facilities Management (Plt Director of Commercial Business) JMRB Tita Paulina Purbasari witnessed by the President Director of JMRB Dian Takdir Badrsyah in Jakarta, Wednesday 7 September.

"We are very happy to be able to serve JMRB. Gagas and PGN Group will serve all natural gas needs using various methods, both pipes, CNG, and LNG. The presence of natural gas services can provide fuel that is more efficient, clean, and reliable," Dian said in his official statement, Thursday, September 8.

The distribution of CNG Gaslink in Rest Area Km 88 A&B is targeted to start running mid-September 2022 by taking CNG supplies from the Purwakarta SPBG. Meanwhile, the volume of Gaslink distribution is estimated to reach 4,000 cubic meters per month.

For TCD Taman Mini, Gagas will distribute Gaslink in commercial areas that are integrated with various transportation hubs around the area with a transit-oriented development concept (TOD) concept.

The projected initial distribution of the TCD Mini Park reaches 5,000-6,000 cubic meters per month with gas sources taken from the Klender SPBG, East Jakarta. "In addition to providing economic benefits, Gaslink as fuel that is cleaner than other fossil energy can contribute to Jasa Marga's Green Toll Road program," said Dian.

Meanwhile, Tita Paulina Purbasari hopes that Gagas and JMRB cooperation can be developed to other locations. "This use of natural gas can help provide better efficiency and productivity for tenants both in rest areas and TCD later," he said.

Separately, Gagas President Director Muhammad Hardiansyah said this collaboration was a follow-up to the signing of the MoU between PT PGN Tbk and Jasa Marga on Cooperation on the Utilization of Toll Road Rumija and Other Business Development in February 2022.

"As a form of realization of the MoU, Gagas is committed to meeting natural gas needs in rest areas and other areas belonging to Jasa Marga Group using the beyond pipeline infrastructure. As a first step, we will supply Rest Area Km 88 A&B Purbaleunyi and TCD Taman Mini. Of the total 78 rest areas along the Trans-Java Toll Road, we hope that at least we meet the needs of 27 rest areas belonging to Jasa Marga Group," he explained.

According to him, the Subholding Gas' commitment to participate in developing clean energy-based toll road infrastructure in Indonesia, especially in the Trans-Java section, will continue to be massive, so that domestic natural gas utilization will expand to various sectors.
