The government will issue two types of vaccines. First, government-assisted vaccines and independent vaccine programs.

One of the government-assisted vaccination programs will be provided for health workers and communities in need according to data from BPJS Ketenagakerjaan Beneficiaries (PBI). As for the independent vaccine program, especially for people who are economically capable.

Erick, who is also the Executive Chair of the Committee for Handling COVID-19 and National Economic Recovery (KPCPEN), said that the government is trying to prepare for the COVID-19 vaccination properly.

For the initial target, vaccination will be for people in the age range 18-59 years.

"But this is an initial target, it does not mean it is comprehensive. Therefore, at this initial target 67 percent will try to be the main target," said Erick as quoted by Antara.

Erick said, the age range is not absolute. In the future there will be several vaccines from different manufacturers, so the target age range of the vaccine may change.

"Of course when talking about different brands, for example X and Y brands, of course the vulnerable age could be over 59 years or even Sinovac with later development, it could be over 59 years old. But today 18-59 years. And from this range, 67 percent were vaccinated, "concluded Erick.
