Police Arrest 5 Users Of Subsidized Fuel Subsidy 2 Trucks That Have Been Modified
PURWOKERTO The Banyumas Police Satreskrim, Central Java, managed to uncover a case of misuse of subsidized fuel oil (BBM) using a box truck.
Banyumas Police Chief Kombes Edy Suranta Sitepu accompanied by the Head of the Satreskrim Police Commissioner Agus Supriadi Siswanto said the case was successfully uncovered after his party received information from the public that there were allegations of misuse of subsidized fuel in the Ajibarang area and its surroundings.
Based on this information, the police immediately conducted an investigation until the Satreskrim team finally saw a suspicious box truck that was buying a subsidy diesel at Ajibarang Public Fuel Filling Station (SPBU) on August 11, at 00.30 WIB.
"Our team then followed the truck with the number E-8340-BD. It turned out that the truck went to the Losari gas station, Cilongok, Banyumas, to buy solar subsidies again," said Edy Suranta quoting Antara, Thursday, September 8.
After filling up with fuel, the Satreskrim team then approached the truck for checking and it turned out that in the box there was a subsidized diesel shelter tank. In fact, the tank has been filled with 2,300 liters of diesel purchased by the two boxes from several gas stations that have been passed.
The two crew members of the box truck are HS (30) and RS (38), residents of Brebes Regency.
"Not long after, a box truck with license plate number T-8434-FL entered the Losari gas station. However, the truck looked hesitant when it was about to fill the subsidized diesel," Kasatreskrim added.
Therefore, the Satreskrim team immediately checked the box truck that was manned by JAY (43), a resident of Cilacap Regency, and MZ (33), a resident of Brebes. When examined, it turned out that there was also a tank to accommodate the subsidy diesel.
"When interrogated, the four suspects, consisting of two drivers and two assistants, admitted that they received orders from AB (36), a resident of Brebes, to buy a subsidized diesel at a price of Rp. 5,150 per liter and then resold it to a number of companies in Central Java at a price of Rp. 17,500 per liter," he said.
Therefore, his party immediately arrested AB and all suspects have been detained.
In addition to detaining five suspects, the police also secured a number of evidences, including one Toyota box truck with the number E-8340-DD which carried a tank containing 2,300 liters of diesel along with Rp4,144,000 in cash and two notes for purchasing diesel at gas stations.
Then one Isuzu box truck with the number T-8434-FL plate carrying a tank containing 680 liters of diesel, IDR 12,775,000 in cash, and five cell phones.
"Based on the statements of the suspects, the act has been carried out in the last year," said Kompol Agus.
He added that the five suspects were charged with Article 55 of Law Number 22 of 2001 concerning Oil and Gas which was amended in Article 40 Number 9 of Law Number 11 of 2020 concerning Job Creation Jo. Article 55 of the Criminal Code carries a prison sentence of 5 years.
