Anthony Joshua Accepts Tyson Fury's Challenges, Agrees To Pay 60-40

JAKARTA The heavyweight boxer Anthony Joshua has received an offer of a duel against Tyson Fury. He also agreed to the 60-40 fee sharing.

Joshua only failed to regain his WBA, WBO, IBF and IBO heavyweight titles last month. That's after he lost points in the rematch against Ukrainian boxer Oleksandr Usyk.

The defeat left Joshua with Fury's opportunity to fight. However, this week Fury opened up opportunities for Joshua to challenge him.

They will fight for the WBC heavyweight title before the end of the year. In the offer, Fury also proposed a 60-40 fee sharing.

"Kami ditawarkan Tyson Fury fight ketika dia tidak juara pada 60-40 dan dia [Joshua] menolakkannya. Dia minta puas," kata Hearn sebagaimana dilansir dari The Independent.

"I spoke to AJ [this time], and he said, 'Listen, I don't believe he's serious, but yes, I will fight. Look what the offer looks like," Hearn continued.

"They came back yesterday, and George [Warren] and I had an agreement that we wouldn't talk about it, but obviously Fury really wanted a duel and basically told the world about the offer."

Tyson Fury's side also included a rematch clause in their offer. In addition, they also asked that Joshua and Fury's first duel be held in early November.

"We thought, in particular, he [Joshua] deserved more than 40 percent, but he himself was happy. And I didn't make a decision, but he did," Joshua said.

"So, I came back this morning and said: 'We received 60-40. We want the distribution of the results to be reversed in the rematch. That should be the case," he added.

However, the place for this duel to take place has not been confirmed. Previously, Fury's team wanted this duel to be held at Wembley and Cardiff.

Meanwhile, Hearn suggested the fight should be held on December 17 or a month back from the time Fury's team put forward.
