As a result of the incident, the elevator incident fell, an employee of the Lotus Decor shop named Dede Hendri (24) died horribly. Dede's life could not be saved even though he had been taken to the nearest hospital. Meanwhile, Hendro Setyadi (36), another victim is critical. "Five witnesses have been examined. They are owners, employees, and technicians of the elevator installation," he said.
Previously, two people became victims in the elevator accident of falling free from the 4th floor of a decoration shop in Sawah Besar, Wednesday, August 24. The two victims are employees of the shop. One of them died after experiencing critical conditions. "DH (24) was born in Jakarta. This was critical and was later declared dead," said Central Jakarta Metro Police Chief Kombes Komarudin, Thursday, August 25. Meanwhile, another person with the initials HS (37) suffered a broken bone in the waist. Komarudin said that initially the two employees were moving the rolling cloth from the fourth floor to the ground. "Once entering the elevator, it wasn't long after that the elevator fell from the 4th floor to the 1st floor," he said. According to Komarudin, the elevator was suspected of falling free due to a broken hydraulic cable.
