Simplify The DKI Licensing Process, Anies: It Has Been Done Before There Is A Work Creation Law
JAKARTA - DKI Jakarta Governor Anies Baswedan said the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government is currently transforming the duration of the development licensing process at the DKI Jakarta Investment and One Stop Integrated Service (DPMPTSP) Service.
Anies said this transformation would cut the time-consuming bureaucratic licensing process. According to him, this idea was carried out prior to the existence of the Job Creation Act.
"The development permit process is very efficient, very short, and this has been done before the drafting of the work creation law is discussed. This process has taken almost a year of transformation. In a moment we will finish this," Anies said in a webinar discussion, Tuesday, November 24. .
Anies said that the streamlining of the licensing process would help entrepreneurs with large projects. Later, he said, the licensing process which took years would be completed quickly.
"We are now transforming the licensing processing duration, which moves from 360 days to 57 days. The long permit process that has been going on for years will soon be completed in a relatively very short time," said Anies.
Despite the simplification of the licensing process, Anies claimed that his breakthrough did not reduce substantive matters. He said, this new process is not just eliminating one phase of licensing requirements, it only maintains critical aspects in each phase and eliminates non-contributive aspects.
"For example about the environment. This is not then we consider the environment unimportant, but the process is made rational. The elements that must be included are made reasonable. So, the process is carried out efficiently and effectively," explained Anies.
