Ibrahimovic Sidelined For At Least Two Weeks With Muscle Injury
JAKARTA - AC Milan striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic will be sidelined for at least ten days after suffering a muscle injury in the Serie A match against Napoli. the club announced on Monday as quoted by Reuters.
The 39-year-old scored twice before picking up the injury as the Serie A leaders beat Napoli for the first time in the league in 10 years.
A club spokesman said that Ibrahimovic could take one to three weeks to recover.
The Swedish striker, who has scored 10 goals in six league games this season, is likely to miss Europa League clashes against French side Lille who top Group H and Scottish club Celtic on Thursday this week and 3 December.
Ibrahimovic could also miss the final group game against Sparta Prague.
Milan are currently in second place in Group H with a collection of two points from three matches.
The Serie A leaders have 20 points after eight league games and will face Fiorentina, who are in 15th place, on Sunday.
