JAKARTA - The prices of some basic necessities in the traditional market of Jember Regency, East Java are relatively stable after being charged with fuel oil (BBM) prices in the local area."According to our monitoring at the market in December, the current condition of the prices of basic commodities is still relatively stable," said Head of the Jember Industry and Trade Agency (Disperindag) Bambang Saputro in the local district, quoted from Antara, Monday, September 5.According to him, several commodities that are still experiencing price increases include cayenne pepper, large red chilies, and broiler meat, but there are several commodities that are gradually falling, including broiler eggs and shallots."The increase in commodity prices is still considered reasonable and not due to the increase in fuel, but the reduced supply of farmers," he said.Monitoring the prices of several basic commodities at Tanjung Jember Market, including rice prices ranging from Rp. 10,000 to Rp. 12,500 per kilogram, sugar of Rp. 12,000 per kilogram, packaged cooking oil of 2 liters of Rp. 45,000, beef remains stable Rp. 110,000 per kilogram.The price of red chili rose from Rp40,000 to Rp48,000, then the price of cayenne pepper also increased from Rp44,000 to Rp49,000 per kilogram, shallots Rp26,000 per kilogram, and garlic Rp17,000 per kilogramThe price of broiler eggs actually decreased from Rp. 27,000 to Rp. 26,000 per kilogram and the village chicken egg was still Rp. 50,000 per kilogram."Hopefully the price of basic commodities will remain relatively stable after the fuel is imposed. The stock of basic commodities in Jember is ensured to be safe and sufficient to meet the needs of the community," he said.The government announced the increase in fuel prices since Saturday (3/9) at 14.30 WIB, namely subsidized fuel, which is pertalite from Rp. 7,650 per liter to Rp. 10,000 per liter; subsidized diesel from Rp. 5,150 per liter to Rp. 6,800 per liter; and non-subsidized Pertamax from Rp. 12,500 per liter to Rp. 14,500 per liter which is valid from September 3, 2022 at 14.30 WIB.
