10 Districts, 34 Villages With 1,039 Keluarga Terdampak Banjir, Kabupaten Seluma Bengkulu Berstatus Tanggap Darurat
SELUMA - The Regional Disaster Management Agency (BPBD) of Seluma Regency has declared an emergency response status for regional disasters after heavy rains that occurred some time ago and caused flooding in a number of areas in Seluma Regency.Head of BPBD Seluma Regency Ajjib Mirin said the status was determined after the Regent of Seluma issued Decree No. 360-526 of 2022 on September 1."We inform you that the Regent of Seluma has established an Emergency Response Status for Regional Disaster Management," said Mirin while in Bengkulu, Antara, Monday, September 5.The determination was made after 10 sub-districts, 34 villages with 1,039 heads of families (KK) were affected by floods and landslides.Then the Kemuning bridge suffered heavy damage, the Matan bridge was slightly damaged and there was a cut road in Pasar Seluma Village."As a result of this incident, the losses incurred reached Rp9.27 billion," he said.Previously, North Bengkulu Regency, Bengkulu City and Mukomuko Regency had established an emergency response status due to the flood disaster.In addition to the four areas affected by floods and landslides, there are five other areas, namely Kaur Regency, South Bengkulu Regency, Central Bengkulu Regency and Rejang Lebong Regency.
