Victory Of 4 Anniversary Victorys, Francesco Bagnaia Still Not Made Incar 2022 MotoGP World Champion
JAKARTA Ducati racer Francesco Bagnaia has won fourth in a row in MotoGP 2022. Most recently, he won the San Marino MotoGP race at the Misano Circuit, Sunday (4/9/2022).
Despite being able to record four consecutive wins, Bagnaia still seems less confident in the race for the 2022 MotoGP world title.
In fact, he is getting closer to Fabio Quartararo, the Yamaha rider who is now top of the standings with 211 points. Bagnaia and Quartararo are now only 30 points apart after 91 points previously.
"30 points are still a big difference, so I don't want to think about it (the world title). I just want to focus on my performance and the entire race that is in the final half of the season," Bagnaia said as quoted by Crash.
Although he realized that he was getting closer to Quartararo's position, Bagnaia was reluctant to take steps too quickly. He felt the need to keep the focus so that the good rhythm he had made did not fall apart due to his ambition to become world champion.
"I want to understand the position I can get (in every race series). Like today, if I see I have a chance to win, I will always try to be up front," he said.
"I think we managed to carry out our duties very well related to performance throughout the week. Now we appear very competitive, something different when compared to the beginning of the season," said Bagnaia.
After successfully recording a victory in the San Marino MotoGP, Bagnaia still has enough time to rest. However, he must remain focused considering that the next race will be held in Aragon on September 18.
Bagnaia is predicted to be able to return out as champion in this race. Understandably, he came out as a champion in the Aragon MotoGP last season.
