Student Transport Police Towards A School Of Wage Action Strike Angkot Driver In Majalengka
JABAR - Police helped transport students to school and the community to work following the strike by an angkot driver in Majalengka, West Java (Jabar).
"Our members combed the entire school using vehicles, both two-wheeled and four-wheeled, to take the children to school," said Majalengka Police Chief AKBP Edwin Affandi in Majalengka, Monday, September 5.
According to him, the strike by the driver of the public vehicle caused school children, and people who would carry out their activities using their services were not served.
For this reason, said Edwin, his party has instructed all ranks whose areas were affected by mass demonstrations by public transportation, so that they could help the community, as well as school children.
He ensured that officers in the field would continue to be on standby when the mass strike was still ongoing, and would help the community by alerting the entire fleet owned.
"We are taking this action as an effort to provide services to students during public transportation during mass strikes. Thus, these students can still demand knowledge at school calmly and factory employees can work," he said.
He added that this operation will not be carried out every day, depending on the situation and conditions on the ground.
Because Edwin continued, the action was tentative until an agreement was formed between the Majalengka Regency Government and the Organda related to the tariffs that will be used by public transportation after the increase in fuel prices.
"This humanitarian operation will be carried out until public transportation operates again," he said.
