The Metro Jaya Police's Plan To Hold The Kemayoran Street Race Disambut Happy Street Racing Lover
JAKARTA - The discourse of the Polda Metro Jaya which will hold the Kemayoran street race for once every 2 months has received appreciation from a number of street racing lovers with a 500-meter track.
One of the supports comes from one motorcycle community who is also the chairman of the Kemayoran street race committee. Ergus Oei said that his party really hopes that there will be a platform for the street racing arena that is legalized by the government. The reason is, the forum can be a positive means so that street racing does not interfere with public facilities.
"Hopefully it can be realized, the hope of friends (there is a forum for street racing). Wild children play 500 meters. We want to embrace illegal children. We must support the Passion," Ergus told VOI when confirmed, Sunday, September 4.
Ergus explained that it is usually attached to the community if illegal racing deals with public facilities. Then with the Kemayoran street race platform, the racing distance regulations that are touched by the hobbyists are 500 meters away.
"We hope that by starting the 500 meter track, not just this once. The typical illegal racing child with 500 meters. In the future, we don't need a tent, the important thing is that this place can be given to us in the hope that it doesn't interfere with other facilities," he said.
At the Kemayoran street race event which was held on Saturday, September 3-4, it was more likely to have joint racing training activities.
"We have more training together, there is no regulation. Anyone who likes to speed up, let's just take it here, here there is a platform. It's safe not to disturb public facilities," he said.
Sebelumnya diberitakan, Dirlantas Polda Metro Jaya Kombes Latif Usman berharap, dengan digelarnya ajang street race di Kemayoran, Jakarta Pusat, para pemuda pehobi motor pempelatan laju tidak perlu kembali lajulan di jalan raya yang mengganggu aktivitas pengguna jalan lainnya.
"We no longer need to race outside, because to maintain safety and public order. In today's second race, there were about 500 participants who participated, we did divide it into several parts," Kombes Latif told reporters, Sunday, September 4.
At this Sunday street race event, he continued, there was a battle or competition. So there are types of vehicles contested.
"Today, most of the time, until 21.00 WIB, the distribution of prizes has been made," he said.
Kombes Latif explained, after the street race event in Kemayoran was over, Polda Metro Jaya would look for other street races concepts.
"The concept is how to really get the entire community, all the grassroots of wild racing lovers who have not been embraced here, to enter this activity. So that there will be no commotion, no accidents, without our supervision. So hopefully this is the means in Jakarta already exist," he said.
Dirlantas explained, later there will be a racing event plan every two months.
"Well, the place is the most ideal, from the interest, place, participants, the most here. The most. Because the dignity of illegal racing, he said, was here first," he said.
