Two Hectare Ladang Ganjar Found Kodim Pidie In The Tangse Mountains, Aceh
JAKARTA - Members of the Military District Command (Kodim) 0102/Pidie found a marijuana field covering an area of approximately two hectares in the Tangse Mountains, Pidie Regency, Aceh.
The Commander of Kodim 0102/Pidie Lieutenant Colonel Infantry Abd Jamal Husin through the Military Rayon CommanderTangse Lieutenant Dua InfantryFerial in his statement, Sunday, said the discovery of the marijuana field occurred on Saturday (3/9) morning in the hills between Kebun Nilam Village and Ulee Gunong Village, Tangse District.
Ferial explained that getting to the location of the marijuana field was very difficult because it could only be reached on foot through the hills and steep ravines and a travel time of about an hour.
"We information that we obtained about two hectares of marijuana from the people looking for palm trees to take their fiber in the forest," said Ferial, quoted by Antara.
From this information, a number of personnel from Kodim 0102/Pidie moved to the location mentioned by residents and found fields planted with marijuana. Personnel found dozens of cannabis plants estimated to be five months old with a height of two meters.
At that time, a marijuana field was immediately destroyed by pulling out plants and burning them because the location was steep and in the form of a river channel valley.
"While heading to the location, it is possible that the perpetrator (the owner of the marijuana field) knows our movement so that the perpetrators are not found," said Ferial.
