Joining The Prophet's Birthday In Tebet, Deputy Governor Riza Called The Program To Implement Health Protocols
JAKARTA - Deputy Governor of DKI Jakarta, Riza Patria, claimed that the masses who attended the Prophet's birthday in Tebet, South Jakarta, implemented health protocols and COVID-19 prevention.
This was conveyed by Riza after undergoing an examination at Polda Metro Jaya regarding the alleged violation of the health protocol on Rizieq Shihab's series of activities. Riza was also present at the event in Tebet which Rizieq also attended.
"So far, what I know is that (the events in Tebet) all comply with the COVID-19 protocol by (maintaining) a better distance, using masks, washing hands and all," Riza told reporters, Monday, November 23.
Riza did not deny that there were quite a lot of people attending the event. Even when compared to all the Prophet's Birthday events that he had attended during the COVID-19 pandemic mass.
"So, in Tebet, there is a difference from other places of Mawlid, yes. In Tebet there are quite a lot of people attending than I have ever attended," he said.
Riza previously agreed, in addition to asking about the series of events that Rizieq attended in Petamburan and Megamendung was also asked about the events in Tebet. But Riza didn't want to worry about what was being asked. "The details, please ask our investigating friends," said Riza, who was examined for eight hours.
The Prophet's birthday, which was held by Majlis Taklim Al Afaf, was held by Al Habib Ali bin Abdurrahman Assegaf in Tebet, South Jakarta, Friday, November 13. The event was also attended by the leader of the Islamic Defenders Front (FPI) Muhammad Rizieq Shihab.
In addition, this event was suspected of violating health protocols because many of the congregation who attended were not wearing masks and without maintaining their distance. Rizieq, who was originally wearing a mask, took off his mask every now and then.
