Ahead Of The Election Of The Regional Head Election, Minister Of Home Affairs Tito: The Chief Of Police And The TNI, Please Mobilize Members
JAKARTA - The Minister of Home Affairs (Mendagri) Tito Karnavian asked all parties to fully support the work of the 2020 Regional Head Election (Pilkada) organizer in early December.
Tito said, with the full support of all parties, it is hoped that the remaining stages until the voting can run successfully, safe from conflict and COVID-19.
According to the Minister of Home Affairs, of all the stages that had been carried out, everything went well. So, he emphasized on all parties to help "all out" the work of Pilkada organizers in the remaining stages of this.
Because, said Tito, there are still remaining stages of the campaign, the calm period, from voting to counting the votes.
"It will not be possible for the KPU and Bawaslu organizers to work alone. We will support it with all the available strengths," Tito told reporters as reported by Antara, Monday, November 23.
According to Tito, the strength of Linmas and Satpol PP that is under the Regional Government, then the TNI-Polri, according to Tito, also optimally supports the implementation of the elections.
"Mr. Kapolri, please direct his ranks and TNI colleagues, because this election situation has never happened in the history of the Indonesian nation, held in the middle of a pandemic. This is the first time, a new experience for all of us," he said.
The Minister of Home Affairs also outlined several aspects of the ongoing and ongoing regional elections. From a budgetary aspect, the Ministry of Home Affairs has an important task to facilitate.
He said there were two sources for the regional election budgeting. First, it comes from the APBD through NPHD. According to the Ministry of Home Affairs' current notes, 100 percent of the budget for KPU ranks has been realized.
"For that I would like to express my gratitude and high appreciation to fellow regional heads who have realized the NPHD. Then we also have 100 percent data on Bawaslu. Once again, thank you very much," he said.
However, the budget for the TNI and Polri, said the Minister of Home Affairs, has only been realized as much as 97 percent. For the provincial level itself it is 100 percent, while the district or city level is not 100 percent, still 97.43 percent, there is still around Rp. 30 billion that has not been realized.
Then the second source of funds comes from the central budget, with a total budget of Rp. 4.3 trillion for the KPU, Bawaslu and DKPP ranks.
According to Tito, everything has been realized, so that in terms of budget, all needs have been realized for the implementation of the 2020 Pilkada.
The next aspect, said the Minister of Home Affairs, was the matter of the final voter list or DPT. All regional KPUs have carried out factual verification of data updating and the number of voters was obtained as much as approximately 100.3 million.
"There will be several things that we need to finish later. Tomorrow afternoon all regional KPUD and Bawaslu, from the central level, the three of us will be the Chairman of the KPU and Bawaslu and I will sit together with the heads of Dukcapil offices throughout the region," said Tito.
So the Minister of Home Affairs hopes that within the next 14 days for those who do not have population data, be it electronic ID cards or certificates, their voting rights will not be lost. This identity letter, he said, was very important because it could become a problem point or could trigger conflict.
The Minister of Home Affairs added that in the future there will be 12 more days until 5 December. As the end of the campaign phase, it is considered to be a bit vulnerable. It is hoped that all elements involved in the pilkada can strengthen solidarity.
Then during the quiet period of December 6 to 8, said the Minister of Home Affairs, there were only activities to clean all the props. All campaign props, be it banners, billboards and others, must be clean.
"It is no longer allowed to have large crowds of any kind, let alone those that have the potential to violate guarding distance, it cannot happen. And on December 9, this is a very important day, the day of voting or voting," he said.
The key for the election to run safely, and also to be able to implement health protocols and voter participation, said the Minister of Home Affairs, namely by reminding voters to come according to invitation hours.
With that, it is hoped that accumulation will not occur. After choosing the community, they must go straight home. No one gathered at the TPS, only witnesses and security were allowed.
