Despite Rising, Pertamina's Boss Calls Fuel Still Under The Economic Price
JAKARTA - The government has transferred some of the fuel subsidies to Direct Cash Assistance (BLT) to underprivileged communities to ensure that the use of subsidies is right on target, so that the price of fuel oil (BBM) which has been subsidized has been adjusted.
Pertamina President Director Nicke Widyawati ensured that the availability of Subsidized Fuel (stok) at all gas stations was in a safe position after price adjustment by the government.
Nicke said, after this new price adjustment, subsidies from the Government still exist, so the selling prices of Pertalite and Solar are still below the economic price and are still cheaper than the competitive price or several other countries with similar specifications.
"With the digitization of gas stations, price adjustments can be made directly from the Pertamina Integrated Enterprise Data and Command Center (PIEDCC), so that price adjustments can be made in a short time according to the government's decision, considering that Subsidy fuel is an assignment that must be accounted for to the state," said Nicke in an official statement, Saturday, September 3.
As for today, the Government through the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources (ESDM) has officially adjusted the price of fuel oil (BBM) subsidies for the type of Pertalite and Solar Subsidi.
For the new price, the government priced Pertalite, which was previously Rp7650 per liter, to Rp10,000 per liter, Solar Subsidy, which was previously Rp5,150 per liter, increased to Rp6,800 per liter.
To ensure the availability of fuel, Nicke monitors the availability of fuel by directly observing the PIEDCC located at Grha Pertamina Building, Saturday, September 3, accompanied by the Director of Logistics and Infrastructure of Pertamina, Mulyono and Pertamina Business Supporting Director, Dedi Sunardi, and Pertamina Regional Marketing Director Patra Niaga, Mars Ega Legowo Putra. The figure being monitored is the number of real-time availability in the field.
"We ensure that the availability of subsidized fuel stocks at gas stations is safe and we continue to monitor the conditions for distributing subsidized fuel in the field," said Nicke.
Nicke added that through PIEDCC, Pertamina can also ensure that fuel sales follow the provisions in Presidential Regulation 191/2014, so that vehicles cannot make purchases repeatedly with unreasonable volume.
From observations via PIEDCC, the stock availability of Pertalite type subsidy fuel is at the level of 18 days. While the Solar type is in the 20th position and continues to be produced. Pertamina also ensures that all refineries operate in full.
Nicke said, through PIEDCC monitoring, Pertamina can take appropriate steps in ensuring the availability of fuel stocks to gas stations. PIEDCC also provides real-time energy distribution data across distribution chains, from refineries, fuel terminals, to gas stations.
