Update On COVID-19 As Of September 3rd: 3,260 People Expressed Positive

JAKARTA - The Ministry of Health (Kemenkes) released the latest additional positive cases of COVID-19 as of today. A total of 63,615 specimens were examined with the results of 3,260 people who were confirmed positive for COVID-19.

"The total accumulation of positive cases since COVID-19 was discovered in Indonesia has reached 6,369,778 people and active cases have increased by 765 cases," said Ministry of Health data, Saturday, September 3.

Today's recovered cases increased by 4,002 cases, bringing the total to 6,169,330 recovered people. Then, positive confirmed cases who died were 23 and a total of 157,631 people.

Still referring to data from the Ministry of Health, the province with the highest new cases was DKI Jakarta with 1,506 cases. So the total reached 1,400,548 cases. Followed by West Java with 606 new cases Then, Banten with the addition of 315 cases per day, and East Java with 290 cases.

On the other hand, DKI Jakarta is also the province with the most recovered cases today with the addition of 2,217 cases. West Java Province also recorded a fairly large number of recovered people. Around 583 people were declared cured of COVID-19. Then, East Java with a recovery rate of 338 cases and Banten with an additional 265 recovered cases.

In addition, the number of specimens that have been examined using RT-PCR, TCM, and antigens to date has reached 106,959,748. "Positive results per number of people examined or the positivity rate of people for today is 11.03 percent," he wrote.

The number of people suspected of contracting COVID-19 or currently categorized as suspected cases is 4,799 people. Currently, 34 provinces have had cases of COVID-19.

To date, 203,397,204 people have received the first dose of COVID-19 vaccination and 171,064,873 people have received the second dose of vaccination. While the third dose of vaccination was 60,912,034 people. Then, about 380,726 people have received the fourth dose. Meanwhile, the target for vaccination in Indonesia is 234,666,020 people.
