Unclear Football Competition Eats Victims, Borneo FC Parted Ways With Francisco Torres
JAKARTA - The club from Kalimantan Borneo FC announced its separation from Brazilian striker Francisco Torres in line with the absence of a continuation of the Indonesian League 1 competition at the end of this year.
"Yes, both Borneo FC and Torres agreed not to continue cooperation even though they have the remaining contract. This is the best decision for both parties," said Borneo FC manager Farid Abubakar as quoted by Antara from the club's official website in Jakarta, Monday, November 23.
The club did not mention in detail the farewell to the attacker who scored two goals in the first three matches of League 1 2020. However, the absence and lack of clarity in the competition was allegedly a factor between the two of them agreeing to separate.
Francisco first came to Indonesia in the 2019 season. Badak Lampung FC became his first port and scored four goals in 12 appearances.
He then joined Barito Putera in the same year. His goalscoring record is quite good, scoring eight goals in 15 appearances with Laskar Antasari.
Her adventure continues at Borneo FC, however she has to end the romance briefly. After only three matches have played, the competition must be stopped due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Because it was unclear when it would start again, he finally withdrew from the Pesut Etam squad.
Farid also thanked Torres for his cooperation with Borneo FC Samarinda this season. he hopes that Torres will be successful in his future career.
"Thank you Torres. Although brief, he has shown his hard work here. Good luck at his new club," he said.
