COVID-19 Update As Of September 2: 3.616 New Cases, 852 Active Cases
JAKARTA - The Ministry of Health (Kemenkes) released the latest additional positive cases of COVID-19 as of today. A total of 76,513 specimens were examined with the results of 3,616 new positive cases of COVID-19.
"The total accumulation of positive cases since COVID-19 was discovered in Indonesia has reached 6,366,518 people and active cases have fallen by 852 to 43,582 cases", said Ministry of Health data, Friday, September 2.
Today's recovered cases increased by 4,451 cases, bringing the total to 6,165,328 people recovered. Then, positive confirmation that 17 died and a total of 157,608 people.
The province with the highest number of new cases was DKI Jakarta with 1,500 cases and a total of 1,399,042 cases. Followed by West Java with 699 new cases with a total of 1,168,160 cases. East Java has 392 new cases and a total of 598,513 cases. Then, Banten with 381 new cases and a total of 330,625 cases.
The province with the most recovered cases today belongs to DKI Jakarta with an additional 2,200 recovered cases. Followed by West Java with an additional 791 recovered cases, Central Java with an additional 438 recovered cases, and East Java with an additional 306 recovered cases.
In addition, the number of specimens that have been examined using RT-PCR, TCM, and antigens has reached 106,896,133.
"Positive results per number of people examined or the positivity rate of people this week is 10.81 percent", it wrote.

The number of people suspected of contracting COVID-19 or currently categorized as suspected cases is 5,881 people. Currently, 34 provinces have had cases of COVID-19.
To date, 203,389.572 people have received the first dose of COVID-19 vaccination and 171,060,711. people underwent a second dose of vaccination.
While the third dose of vaccination was 60,899,370 and the fourth dose was 377,690. Meanwhile, the target for vaccination in Indonesia is 234,666,020 people.
