PKB Estimates That PDIP's Possibility Of Entering The Coalition With Gerindra: It's A Bit Surrounding

JAKARTA - PDIP DPP chairman Puan Maharani will meet Gerindra Chair Prabowo Subianto this weekend. PKB said that Puan's political safari is a common thing because all political parties will also be visited. "This is a series of Mbak Puan safaris, including plans to also go to PKB after yesterday from NasDem. So this series of political safaris may be exploring each other too, I think they are normal," said Deputy Secretary General of PKB, Syaiful Huda to reporters, Thursday, September 1. Huda then talked about PDIP's opportunity to join the coalition with Gerindra and PKB. According to him, this opportunity will be difficult to achieve. Moreover, Gerindra has unanimously brought Prabowo Subianto back in the 2024 presidential election.

"I don't know exactly yet. But maybe the configuration is a bit complicated. Like it or not, for example, Gerindra's voice is under PDIP, that's roughly the case. It's a bit complicated according to the configuration. Both parties. The political Fatsun is a bit difficult," he said. "Because of that, why are our enthusiasm with Gerindra to build a coalition, because the image is part of our commitment, at least 3 couples in the election," added Huda.

Huda said that currently there are 3 top parties that can form coalition axes. Namely Gerindra, Golkar, and PDIP.

"There are three top parties, PDIP, then Gerindra, Golkar. Golkar has initiated KIB, Gerindra with PKB, we just have to wait for Mbak Puan, PDIP friends are about to build a new axis block inviting the middle party. PKB is the middle party, he is ranked fourth," he said.

Better, added Huda, the three top parties made the axis by inviting the central board party. Thus, he said, 3 candidate pairs could be formed for the 2024 presidential election. "The three pairs are actually in accordance with the three top party configurations. There are many reasons, one we want polarization not to occur in the 2024 presidential election, one way is that we avoid two pairs of presidential candidates for vice president. This means that people have options outside of two pairs," he said.
