Erika Eleniak Is Uncomfortable Being Branded A Sex Symbol In The Baywatch Series
JAKARTA - Erika Eleniak was still a teenager when she joined the Baywatch series in 1989. At that time, she played alongside famous actors / actresses David Hasselhoff and Pamela Anderson.
The US actress, now 51, talks about her experiences in the series in a new documentary directed by Matt Felker.
Talking about the iconic red swimsuit and her confidence on set, Erika said she wasn't comfortable being a sex symbol.
"Let's bet, if you wear a swimsuit now and appear in front of a lot of players and crew, (the feeling of discomfort) is what I feel," he said in an interview with Sky News some time ago.
"One hundred percent, to be honest, the same as how you would feel. It's awkward. You know, you are very insecure. For me, (I) always worry about what is being shown."
As an actress, continued Erika, she just wanted to focus on her job. However, he was always thinking, was there any (vital part) sticking out of his bathing suit.
"You know, those things. So it's all there, and it's not easy," he continued.
According to Erika, the actress is literally the most insecure person on the planet. He spoke for himself, but most of what he knew, it was because he was constantly being watched by so many people.
"I think there is a misunderstanding that people think, yeah, because you put yourself out there, of course you have to be a confident person. It's not like that, it's not."
