Anies Obedient To The Rules On Plenary Dismissal Of His Term Of Office In DKI Was Held On September 13
JAKARTA - The DKI Jakarta DPRD plans to hold a plenary meeting to dismiss Anies Baswedan and Ahmad Riza Patria as Governor and Deputy Governor of DKI Jakarta on September 13, 2022. So, what is Anies' response?
Anies said he obeyed the rules by following the regional head scheme which ended his term of office this year in accordance with Circular Letter Number 131/2188/OTDA of the Ministry of Home Affairs regarding the Proposal for Dismissal of Regional Heads and Deputy Regional Heads for Positions Ended in 2022.
Anies stated that the process of proposing the dismissal held by the DKI DPRD took place in the legislature, which ended in the governors and deputy governors and mayors or regents' terms this year.
"What is clear is that all provinces, all regencies/cities whose terms end in 2022," said Anies when met at the Fairmont Hotel, Central Jakarta, Thursday, September 1.
In this case, the Ministry of Home Affairs through its circular mandates the implementation of a plenary meeting with the DKI Jakarta DPRD to propose the dismissal of the Governor and Deputy Governor to the President, by attaching minutes and news of the plenary meeting.
The implementation of the plenary meeting is intended to submit proposals by the leadership of the DPRD to the President through the Minister of Home Affairs in order to determine the dismissal.
Meanwhile, DKI Jakarta Regional Secretary Marullah Matali admitted that his party would follow the mechanisms and procedures as well as the rules that had been set.
The proposal for the dismissal was submitted to the Minister of Home Affairs no later than 30 days before the end of the term of office of the Governor/Vice Governor, so that the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government will attend a plenary meeting held by the DKI Jakarta DPRD which is expected to be held on September 13.
"We will carry out the process of proposing the dismissal of the Governor and Deputy Governor in accordance with the Circular Letter of the Ministry of Home Affairs. So, we will follow the process in accordance with applicable procedures," said Marullah.
Previously, the Chairman of the DKI Jakarta DPRD, Prasetyo Edi Marsudi, said that his party had decided to hold a plenary meeting to announce the dismissal of the Governor and Deputy Governor of DKI Jakarta on Tuesday, September 13.
This was agreed in a meeting of the DKI Jakarta DPRD Deliberative Body (Bamus) with the Regional Secretary (Sekda) DKI Jakarta, Marullah Matali, which was held at the Grand Cempaka Resort, Bogor, West Java, yesterday.
"Based on input from the leadership and members of the Bamus, it has been agreed that the plenary meeting to announce the dismissal of the Governor and Deputy Governor for the 2017-2022 period on September 13," Prasetyo said in his statement, Wednesday, August 31.
