Meta Will Remove Facebook Gaming Apps At The End Of October This Year

JAKARTA - Facebook is rumored to be closing its Facebook Gaming service on October 28. The app has only been rolling out for two years, but it doesn't seem that this app is long-lived.

According to its official website blog, the Facebook Gaming app is a focused gaming experience, where you can view favorite streamers, play instant games, and join gaming groups.

The Facebook Gaming app was first launched on Google Play for Android users, and the iOS version followed after that.

So now, when you open the app, you'll see a notification saying that apps will no longer be available on iOS and Android after the specified date. The app will also no longer be available either on the Google Play Store or App Store.

"We would like to express our sincere gratitude to you all for all you have done to build a growing community for gamers and fans since this app was first launched. This is truly a community-led effort to bring a new gaming feature on Facebook," the notification read.

The Facebook team also said that all players and users of the Facebook Gaming app can still find your gaming games, streamers and groups in the Facebook app and open the Gaming tab in the app.

Facebook revealed that you can still download game searches before the app is completely discontinued.

In addition, this application was first launched in April 2020 ahead of the start of the COVID-19 pandemic. Meta created this application as a way for users to watch their favorite streamers, play instant games, and participate in gaming groups.
