Anticipate Floods, Central Jakarta Natural Resources Sub-Department Asked To Optimize Water Pump Conditions And Check Channels

JAKARTA - Assistant for the Economy and Development (Asekbang) of the Central Jakarta City Government, Bakwan Ferizan Ginting, Central Jakarta, asked the Central Jakarta Water Resources (SDA) Sub-dept. to check all channels and water pump conditions.

"I have asked the Central Jakarta Natural Resources Sub-Department to check the micro, macro and water pumps must be optimized," said Bakwan, Wednesday, August 31.

Furthermore, Bakwan said, the Central Jakarta Natural Resources Sub-Department must routinely check eight sub-districts throughout Central Jakarta. In addition, checking the mouths of water must be carried out in order to keep the water flowing into the channel.

"The water mouth should not pass by the check, if there was a puddle that occurred because the water could not enter the channel," he said.

Currently, the Central Jakarta Natural Resources Sub-Department continues to drain from ordinary channels to channels that are directly connected to pumps. The draining was carried out by 816 task forces in 8 sub-districts.
