Studies: 64% Of Parents In The US Hope Children Are Learn Cryptocurrency At School

JAKARTA Cryptocurrencies as new financial alternatives based on blockchain technology have attracted the attention of various countries and companies. The reason is, fiat money today is threatened with inflation. Parents in the US apparently pay attention to the development of cryptocurrencies. They want their children to receive cryptocurrency-related education in schools.

According to a recent study of study platforms education study.com, about 64% of parents in the United States think that cryptocurrencies and blockchain technology should be integrated into their children's education.

Study.com has surveyed 884 parents in the United States and 210 universities. The individuals surveyed have been tested to ensure they have knowledge of crypto, blockchain technology, non-fungible tokens (NFT), and the metaverse.

The study reports that 64% and 67% of the two groups agree with crypto education. In addition, 68% of parental surveys say they invest in crypto, while 39% have investments in the development of blockchain technology. While 40% of respondents agreed that NFT and the metaverse should be added to the education curriculum.

When parents were asked when crypto education should start, about 24% of respondents agreed to be taught at the high school level, 20% in college, and 19% at postgraduate levels.

The answer differs from among university students. As many as 33% of them agree that crypto education is taught in postgraduate, 20% at undergraduate level, 24% at high school.

Both generations are different, both students and parents agree that education related to blockchain, cryptocurrencies, and the metaverse is important to learn about our future economy.
