DPRD Discusses Bank Bengkulu Special Committee Whose Shares Were Purchased By Chairul Tanjung

BENGKULU - A number of members of the Bengkulu Province DPRD expressed a discourse on the formation of a special committee (special committee) to investigate the problems in Bengkulu Bank.

Chairman of the Golkar Party faction DPRD Bengkulu Province Sumardi said, apart from the issue of meeting the company's core capital, his party also highlighted the problem of human resource management at the bank.

In particular, said Sumardi, the recruitment process for Bank Bengkulu employees was considered not transparent and still used the old system.

"It does not rule out (the formation of a special committee), but just wait for the results of the meeting again with the board of directors and management of Bank Bengkulu," he said as quoted by Antara, Sunday, November 22.

"We suspect that the recruitment is not open to the public, so there is an impression that Bengkulu Bank is currently allegedly belonging to the family," said Sumardi.

In addition, Sumardi asked the company to postpone the announcement of the results of the recent employee selection and focus on dealing with a number of internal problems at the bank.

According to Sumardi, his management should have used the CAT system in recruiting employees, so that the selection results could be immediately known.

However, the proposal is not intended to neglect the professionalism of the LPPI as the executor of the selection for recruitment of candidates for Bank Bengkulu employees.

"But what is clear is that we ask to postpone the results of this selection before the Bengkulu Bank management meets with the Provincial DPRD as an institution," he said.

Meanwhile, Usin Abdisyah Putra Sembiring, Chairman of the Indonesian Conscience Association (PNI) faction, considered that a comprehensive evaluation of Bank Bengkulu, which is a regional company, is necessary.

Moreover, said Usin, the distribution of company profits or dividends to the largest shareholders, namely the regional government, has decreased.

"This year, the dividend has decreased by only Rp13 billion. So Bengkulu Bank needs to be whipped up to seek a bigger dividend. So far, it has not been whipped up, only by caressing it," said the Hanura Party politician.

Usin assessed that so far the company has not been open about the company's revenues and expenses, both to the Bengkulu Provincial Government and the Bengkulu Provincial DPRD.

"ASN has a salary of 13 if Bank Bengkulu turns 18, now this has to be evaluated, this is not disclosed. Rewards to customer seekers have not been shared fairly," said Usin.
