The Ministry Of Home Affairs Has Not Yet Received The Proposal For Revocation Of The Governor's Regulation, Anies: It Should Have Been
JAKARTA - DKI Jakarta Governor Anies Baswedan said that the Governor's Regulation Number 207 of 2016 concerning Controlling the Implementation/Obligence of Land Without a Right to be revoked.Pergub 207/2016 was issued by Basuki Tjahaja Purnama (Ahok) while serving as Governor of DKI in 2016. Ahok often uses this governor's regulation to carry out evictions. Until now, Anies still uses the governor's regulation. However, it turns out that the Ministry of Home Affairs (Kemendagri) has not yet received the facilitation and harmonization proposal for the revocation of Pergub 207/2016. In response to this, Anies admitted that he would check again."That's why I said yesterday that I should have done it. I'll try to check where the stall is," said Anies at DKI City Hall, Monday, August 29.Anies emphasized that he had been committed to withdrawing the forced eviction governor's regulation since a few months ago. Therefore, he can guarantee that the regulation will definitely be revoked."The spirit is done, we even discussed it a few months ago, before Lebaran. What is clear is that (the governor's regulation) will be revoked," said Anies. As is known, when Anies served as Governor of DKI in 2017 until now, the governor's regulation was still used by him to carry out forced evictions. In fact, this is not in accordance with Anies' narrative during the 2017 Pilkada campaign which did not want to overthrow residential areas. The eviction using the governor's regulation when Anies led DKI occurred in Pancoran Buntu II, South Jakarta; Vegetable Gardens, Ciracas, East Jakarta; Bukit Duri, Tebet, South Jakarta; and Sunter Agung, Tanjung Priok, North Jakarta. However, Anies could not issue the revocation of the eviction governor's regulation unilaterally. This is because the DKI Provincial Government must seek approval from the Ministry of Home Affairs (Kemendagri)."Now, making a new governor's regulation must have approval for harmonization with the Ministry of Home Affairs," said Anies. Thus, after the harmonization process of the draft governor's regulation on the revocation of evictions by the Ministry of Home Affairs was agreed, Anies was only able to revoke the regulations that had been in effect since 2016."It is currently in the process of harmonization with the Ministry of Home Affairs. Later, when it is finished, the number will be issued (pergub), announced," he said.
