Ahead Of The Reconstruction Of The Ferdy Sambo Case, The National Police Chief: All Transparency According To Facts, That's Our Promise
JAKARTA - National Police Chief General Listyo Sigit Prabowo ensured that the reconstruction of the premeditated murder case against Nofriansyah Yosua Hutabarat or Brigadier J would run in an accountable and transparent manner.
"Everything is transparent, we don't cover anything. We process it according to the facts and that's our promise," Sigit told reporters at the HI Roundabout, Central Jakarta, Sunday, August 28.
However, the National Police Chief explained that the technical details in the reconstruction of the murder case of Brigadier J were entirely submitted to the Special Team (Timsus) of the Police in its form.
"That's technical, so let it be handed over to investigators, the important thing is that I pray that all of us remain as our commitments," he added.
The Head of the Public Relations Division of the National Police Inspector General Dedi Prasetyo said the reconstruction of the murder case, which was masterminded by Ferdy Sambo, would present five suspects. The reconstruction will be held in the Duren Tiga Jakarta area on Tuesday, August 30.
Dedi added that the reconstruction would accelerate the completion of the file so that it could be submitted to the prosecutor.
"From the Dirtipidum conveys (reconstruction) to clarify the construction and events that occurred, so that the public prosecutor (JPU) gets a clearer picture and the same as the facts and statements of the suspects and witnesses in the examination report, so that the file can be immediately P-21," said Dedi in Jakarta, quoted from Antara, Saturday, August 27.
On Friday 19 August, the case file for four of the five suspects in the murder of Brigadier J has been transferred by investigators from the Directorate of General Crimes (Dirtipidum) of the Criminal Investigation Unit of the Police to the Public Prosecutor's Office. However, until now it is not known whether the file has been declared complete.
"For P-19, there is no information yet," he added.
According to the Head of the Legal Information Center (Kapuspenkum) of the Attorney General's Office (Kejagung) Ketut Sumedana, the Public Prosecutor took 14 days since the file was transferred to stage one to research.
If the file is not complete, he said, the prosecutor will return the file along with instructions or P-19 to the Bareskrim investigator.
"Since the file was transferred on Friday (August 18), we are still conducting research on the case file," said Ketut.
Regarding the reconstruction, Ketut said the reconstruction was carried out in collaboration between the public prosecutor and the police.
"(Reconstruction) It is very necessary, especially since there is more than one perpetrator. Let alone murder cases, corruption cases such as bribery require a reconstruction process," he said.
He explained that reconstruction is a method or a way to build a proof process at the investigation level after the suspect and witness were examined.
"So, it is easier for the Public Prosecutor to carry out the process of proving in court by reorganizing every incident or legal fact," he said.
