Criticism Of Tiran Leaders Through MATAL Singles Work, IXIAhir Elements Of Black Metal
JAKARTA - Metal troops from Jakarta, IXIA, were present to kick off through a new single work titled MALA. In this song, Dimas (vocals), Hamdy (guitars), and Vito (bas, vocals) vented their anger at the leaders of the violence.
MALA opened with a prose that was read by Vito. From that prose, the main theme of this song can be described. Yes, MALA feels very different when compared to the previous IXIA works.
"It's quite rare for IXIA to talk about themes that are close to social life. At this MALA, the big theme is indeed criticism of leaders, whether in a company or whatever, who often act arbitrarily and even feel enough ties to their subordinates," Vito said in a written statement received by the editorial desk.
After the proses, the nuances of the song began to feel much darker and darker. Although initially carrying the metalcore genre, in this song of no more than four minutes, IXIA actually inserts elements of black metal.
From a music perspective, Hamdy explained that IXIA wants to explore that is more than just a generic metalcore. This then made IXIA decide to choose Raga (ex Undelayed) as producer.
"Enriching IXIA music is something that really needs to be done. Our exploration going forward will also be wilder and far from the impression of metalcores being known so far," said Hamdy.
In this song, the way Dimas sings feels different than usual. He takes a high karaoke tone which is usually felt attached to deathcore music.
Currently, the single MALA has just been released in a visualizer format on the YouTube channel and is not yet available on digital music streaming services. The plan, this song will be part of the latest IXIA EP (mini album) which will be available next September.
