West Java Regional Police Ask Epidemiology Experts About Alleged Prokes Violations In Megamendung
JAKARTA - The West Java Regional Police have again scheduled the clarification of several witnesses regarding the investigation into the alleged violation of the health protocol of the masses of supporters of Rizieq Shihab that occurred in Megamendung, Bogor.
West Java Regional Police Head of Public Relations, Kombes Erdi Adrimulan Chaniago, said that at least 4 witnesses will be clarified. They plan to be questioned on Tuesday, November 24.
"There is a local RW that was not present due to illness yesterday, then the boarding school owner, Satpol PP, and an epidemiologist," Erdi told reporters, Saturday, November 21.
The examination of these witnesses was to investigate the matter of the groundbreaking ceremony for the construction of the pesantren which caused a crowd. This includes asking an Epidemiologist from a university in Bandung to explore the potential for the spread or transmission of COVID-19.
"Everything is being checked regarding the crowd. Whether from the event side to the potential transmission of COVID-19," he said.
The alleged violation of the health protocol occurred when the crowd gathered to attend or attend the groundbreaking ceremony for the construction of the pesantren in Megamendung, Bogor. Because the event was attended by Rizieq Shihab.
So, his arrival attracted the attention of the public, but many did not apply health protocols by not wearing masks.
In the process of investigating the case, the police have clarified several witnesses. One of them was West Java Governor Ridwan Kamil, who was questioned at the National Police Criminal Investigation Unit, on Friday, November 20.
For about 7 hours, Kang Emil was questioned. He explained to investigators about West Java which adheres to an autonomous system. This means that each region in West Java has its own authority.
