Marble On The Pillar Walls Of The DPR Building Dislodged, Secretary General Of The DPR: Old Buildings, Materials Starting To Get Worn Out

JAKARTA - The marble material of one of the pillar walls in the area of the Nusantara III DPR/MPR building suddenly fell off. Luckily, there were no casualties in the dangerous incident.

Officers from the Secretariat General of the DPR immediately approached the scene and cleaned up the rubble of the collapsed marble material.

Related to this, the Secretary General of the DPR, Indra Iskandar, said that the marble wall of one of the pillars in the Nusantara III DPR building, Senayan, Jakarta, was dislodged because the material was starting to rot and must be repaired immediately.

"Yes, it will be handled immediately," Indra told reporters, Friday, August 26.

Not only in the Nusantara III building, Indra said, a number of pillar wall materials in the DPR building area also have similar conditions. This, said Indra, was due to the old building factor.

"Some in other locations also have the same case, but it has been handled first. Because this is an old building, many materials are also starting to rot or dry," he said.

Indra asserted that the dislodged pillar wall will be immediately repaired this week along with other walls in the DPR building area.

"It has been checked but will be done this week, because it is still being calculated and is being worked on with repairs in other locations as well," said Indra.
