Ministry Of PUPR: Additional IKN Infrastructure Budget This Year Worth IDR 5.1 Trillion

JAKARTA - The Ministry of Public Works and Public Housing (PUPR) revealed that the additional budget for basic infrastructure support for the National Capital City (IKN) this year amounted to IDR 5.1 trillion.

"An additional budget for IKN development of IDR 5.1 trillion is allocated to the Directorate General of Water Resources in the amount of IDR 110 billion, among others, for flood control in the Sanggai River Basin, Sepaku Semoi Dam, reservoirs in the Central Government Core Area (KIPP), and the Sepaku River intake," said PUPR Minister Basuki Hadimuljono at a Working Meeting with Commission V DPR, quoted from Antara, Friday, August 26.

The next allocation, Basuki continued, for the Directorate General of Highways amounted to Rp2.11 trillion, including for the construction of work roads or IKN logistics (KIPP), road construction within the KIPP, widening of the IHM-Sp. Riko.

Then the construction of the Balang Short Span Island Bridge, construction of toll roads, duplication of the Balang Island Short Span bridge, the Pasar Sepaku bypass road, and the construction of a pier.

The Directorate General of Human Settlements received an allocation of Rp2.36 trillion for the construction of Phase 1 Water Purification Installations (IPA), KIPP Wastewater Treatment Plants (IPAL), Solid Waste at KIPP, National Axis Area Development, Presidential Palace Construction, Vice Presidential Palace, Office of the Coordinating Ministry , the Ministry of State Secretariat, and other state ministries/institutions, as well as the State Mosque.

Then the allocation for the Directorate General of Housing amounted to Rp480 billion for the construction of official houses and housing for construction workers.

"So, later we will place the workers in the flats that we have built so that they no longer build bunk houses around the construction site," said the Minister of PUPR.

The Directorate General of Construction Development received an allocation of IDR 4 billion for the management of procurement of goods and services, and the development of construction workers in IKN.

The Ministry of PUPR will open training for the community in North Penajam Paser as many as 1,500 people will be trained to become construction workers.
