The Ministry Of Education And Culture Denies That There Is Any Data Leakage Regarding The Recipients Of Wage Subsidies, Which Will Be Investigated
JAKARTA - Acting Head of the Center for Data and Information (Kapudastin) of the Ministry of Education and Culture Hasan Chabibie denied reports of leakage of data on teachers and educators who are prospective recipients of Wage Subsidy Assistance (BSU).
He emphasized the news related to the leakage of data in the Basic Education Data System (Dapodik) which is the data collection point for prospective BSU recipients.
"There was no data leak in the Basic Education Data (Dapodik) system," Hasan said in a written statement received by VOI, Friday, November 20.
He said the Ministry of Education and Culture had carried out detailed searches of data circulating in the community via short messages via the WhatsApp platform. As a result, the data did not come from the Ministry of Education and Culture so that as a follow up, they would carry out an investigation.
"Currently the Ministry of Education and Culture has traced the details of the data in question and the results did not come from the Ministry of Education and Culture. So, we continue to investigate with other parties regarding this matter," he said.
Hasan said that his party will continue to provide the best service. Moreover, public interest is currently very high towards this BSU program.
In addition, Kemendikbud also ensures their commitment to safeguarding personal data protection. "We reaffirm our commitment to safeguard the protection of personal data that is managed through the data collection system for educators and national education personnel in accordance with the prevailing laws and regulations," he said.
Previously reported, the Association for Education and Teachers (P2G) regretted the leakage of personal data belonging to teachers and honorary and private education personnel through the WhatsApp message application. They are candidates for Wage Subsidy Assistance (BSU) from the Ministry of Education and Culture.
"To the extent that there is a population identification number, the account number concerned, even the name of the biological mother. We are very sorry that this personal data has been leaked and spread to the public through the WAG," said P2G National Coordinator, Satriwan Salim in a written statement, Friday, November 20.
The Ministry of Education and Culture and the bank, he continued, should be able to maintain the confidentiality of the personal data of teachers and education personnel who will be prospective recipients.
Head of P2G Teacher Advocacy Iman Z. Haeri said that due to the leakage of personal data, honorary and private teachers who had not registered to receive BSU became anxious and afraid. They are afraid that the same thing will also be experienced.
Therefore, it is hoped that the Ministry of Education and Culture and the banks will immediately and strongly protect the personal data of these teachers and education personnel. Given the number of prospective recipients is 2,034,732 people. Moreover, the total budget for BSU is quite fantastic, amounting to Rp3.66 trillion.
"Mas Minister must be very understanding about digital security. If he fails again, this is similar to a conversation in the simplification of the curriculum draft some time ago. This time the teacher data leaked. Not even got subsidized assistance, the data has leaked. said Faith.
Apart from that, P2G also asked the police to immediately investigate the alleged leakage of personal data belonging to teachers and education personnel who are currently scattered in the WA group by the responsible party. This is important so that the security of user data, especially teachers, education personnel, and lecturers, can be protected by the state.
