Tom Hanks And Benjamin Evans Interaction In Pinocchio's Live Action Trailer
JAKARTA - The Disney Plus streaming service has launched the first trailer for the live action film Pinocchio. The film is a remake of the 1940 animated film of the same name.
The trailer begins with the introduction of the character Pinocchio, played by Benjamin Evan Ainsworth. Pinocchio is a puppet that Stromboli (Giuseppe Battiston) forces to perform on stage.
Behind the action, there is Geppeto (Tom Hanks) who is trying to repair a wooden doll. Until an incident makes Pinocchio live like a human.
Geppeto lives in a house with Jiminy Cricket (Joseph Gordon-Levitt) and the Blue Fairy (Cynthia Erivo) who bring the Pinocchio doll to life.
The figure of Pinocchio is the creation of Geppetto who has the hope that his doll will live as a human. His wish was heard by the Blue Fairy who visited his shop.
The live action film Pinocchio also stars Luke Evans, Lorraine Bracco, Keegan-Michael Key and is directed by Robert Zemeckis. The script was written by Zemeckis and Chris Weitz.
The story of Pinocchio is an adaptation of The Adventures of Pinocchio, an 1883 children's book by Carlo Collodi.
In addition to Pinocchio, Disney is also planning the Peterpan and Wendy film for streaming services, while Cruella is already showing in theaters and streaming.
Pinocchio will premiere on Disney+ Hotstar starting September 8, 2022.
