Belitung Street Lights Make Sure No One Dies When The G20 Ministers Arrival

JAKARTA - The Transportation Agency of Belitung Regency, Bangka Belitung Islands, has ensured that the Public Street Lighting Lamp (PJU) will function properly at the G20 Development Ministerial level meeting on September 7-9 2022.

"We make sure the PJU lights at a number of points function properly during the G20 forum meeting later," said the Head of the Belitung Transportation Agency, Ubaidillah in Tanjung Pandan, Thursday, August 25, quoted from Antara.

According to him, his party has carried out inspections and inspections of PJU lights at a number of points starting from the H. AS Hanandjoeddin International Airport in Belitung to the main location of the event at the Sheraton hotel.

"Lights that are damaged and don't turn on anymore, we immediately replace them with new lights so that they function properly," he said.

He said the Belitung Transportation Agency would add PJU lights at a number of points towards the G20 Development Ministers meeting venue at the Sheraton Hotel.

"We added lighting on the highway leading to access to the main location of the event," he said.

In addition, he ensured that his party had also carried out painting and revitalizing the PJU lampposts in the area to make them more beautiful.

"We have painted the street light poles from Hanandjoeddin airport to the location of the event," he said.

He said that his party would conduct a final inspection of the condition of the PJU in the area before the start of the G20 Development Ministerial meeting.

"We are scheduled on August 30 to carry out a final inspection of all PJU light points so that they can function properly during the G20 implementation in Belitung," he said.
