From Sabu To Marijuana, Sumbawa Police Reveals 10 Drug Cases
JAKARTA - The Sumbawa Police, the Nusa Tenggara Police revealed 10 cases of narcotics abuse from July to August 19, 2022.
"Of the total cases that have been revealed, 14 suspects have been arrested," said Sumbawa Police Chief, AKBP Henry Novika Chandra in his written statement in Mataram, Thursday, August 25, quoted from Antara.
All of the above disclosures are the result of information from the public which was disclosed in the period from July to August 19, 2022 which has gone through an investigation process and a case title to determine the increase in the status of the investigation process and determine the status of a suspect.
"In addition to securing the suspects, the confiscated evidence was 200.07 grams of crystal methamphetamine, 1,526.96 grams of marijuana and Rp1,810,000 in cash," he said.
He said of the 14 suspects there were 13 men and one woman and there was one recidivist suspect, while one was in Restorative Justice (TAT) as an abuser of methamphetamine.
Based on the results of the disclosure, most of the goods came from the islands of Lombok and Java.
"To account for their actions, the suspects were charged with Article 111 paragraph (1), Article 112 paragraph (1) (2), Article 114 paragraph (1) (2), and Article 132 paragraph (1) of Law Number 35 2009 on Narcotics," he said.
Through this opportunity, the Police Chief appealed to the public not to abuse narcotics. The police chief invites them to excel without using drugs.
"Say no to drugs for the future of all of us," he said.
