COVID-19 Update As Of November 20: New 4,792 Cases Of 41,955 Specimens Examined
JAKARTA - The Ministry of Health (Kemenkes) releases the latest additional positive cases of COVID-19 today. A total of 41,955 specimens were examined today. As a result, there were 4,792 new positive cases of COVID-19.
"The total accumulation of positive cases since COVID-19 was discovered in Indonesia reached 488,310 people," he was quoted as saying from data from the Ministry of Health, Friday, November 20.
Today's cases increased by 3,940, bringing a total of 410,552 recovered. Then, 78 positive confirmed cases died and a total of 15,678 people.
The province with the most new cases is in DKI Jakarta with 1,240 new cases and a total of 124,243 cases. DKI Jakarta is also the province with the most accumulated cases in Indonesia.
Followed by West Java, which has 872 new cases with a total of 47,328 cases. Central Java has 509 new cases and a total of 46,248 cases. Then, East Java has 379 new cases and a total of 58,041 cases.
The province with the most cases recovered today belongs to West Java with an increase of 1,026 cases recovered. Followed by DKI Jakarta with an increase of 936 recovered cases, Central Java with an additional 400 recovered cases, and East Java with an additional 316 cases recovered.
Then, there are 2 provinces that reported having no new cases today. The provinces are Papua and Gorontalo.
In addition, the number of specimens examined reached 5,261,426. In detail, a total of 5,166,919 specimens were examined using real time polymerase chain reaction (RT-PCR) and 94,507 using molecular rapid tests (TCM).
"The number of positive results per number of specimens examined (positivity rate) was 14 percent," he wrote.
Finally, the number of people suspected of having contracted COVID-19 or who are currently categorized as suspected cases, was recorded at 63,074 people. Currently, 505 districts / cities from 34 provinces have cases of COVID-19.
