PKS Highlights Rusunawa In Jakarta: Some Are Uninhabited, Some Are In Water Crisis
JAKARTA - The PKS faction of the DKI Jakarta DPRD highlighted the placement of the construction of simple rental flats (rusunawa) in Jakarta in the wrong location.
This was conveyed by PKS faction member Yusriah Dzinnun in a plenary meeting with the agenda of conveying the faction's general view of the Raperda on Accountability for the Implementation of the Regional Budget (P2APBD) for the 2021 Fiscal Year.
Yusriah warned that the selection of development sites should be in areas that are needed by the community. Because, currently there are a number of apartment units that are not inhabited by the community.
"Don't let the flats be built in areas that are already in excess, there are even rusunawa that have been built that are not occupied like in North Jakarta. In fact, in other areas there are low-income people (MBR) who need it, but the flats are not built," said Yusriah. at the DKI Jakarta DPRD building, Wednesday, August 24.
In addition, Yusriah also said that there were a number of rusunawa that had been built but the location was experiencing a clean water crisis. This also makes it difficult for the people who live there.
"Other cases also occurred where the Rusunawa were built in areas where clean water conditions were minimal. As a result, when it was finished and ready to be occupied, the Rusunawa was not provided with clean water for the various needs of its residents," said Yusriah.
From this condition, continued Yusriah, the impact is that many residents eventually move because they do not want to occupy the flats due to the water crisis.
"When planning the location for the construction of the Rusunawa, the issue of the availability of clean water is one of the main considerations, considering that clean water is a very basic need for residents," he said.
Yusriah said the inaccuracy in determining the location of the flats showed that the capital expenditure budget of the DKI Provincial Government in carrying out community housing development was not effective.
"In general, the PKS faction considers that budget management is still too process and output oriented and less outcome and benefit oriented. The PKS faction requests that future program planning can be much better, especially with regard to capital expenditures," he explained.
