Crypto.com Will Renovate The LA Lakers Headquarters Into The Most Advanced Stadium

JAKARTA – The well-known crypto trading company, Crypto.com, recently announced an injection of funds for the development of the LA Lakers stadium, Crypto.com Arena. The company wants to rebrand the NBA's basketball club headquarters and make it the most advanced stadium in the US.

At the end of 2021, Crypto.com is willing to spend 700 million US dollars to buy the name of the Staples Arena basketball stadium and turn it into Crypto.com Arena. This is an attempt by crypto companies to expand their business into the world of sports.

In this investment, Crypto.com teamed up with AEG Sports to overhaul the Crypto.com Arena and Xbox Plaza facilities on a large scale. However, the two companies did not announce the amount of their injection of funds in detail for the renovation of the headquarters of the NBA's top basketball club, the LA Lakers.

The official Crypto.com website just announced a “nine-figure” investment with AEG for a stadium facility change at LA LIVE. While the architects of the Staples Center, Dan Meis and Ron Turner have spent about 20 years to repair the stadium. The two were assigned to oversee a major project at the LA Lakers headquarters.

Based on the official announcement, the injection of funds from Crypto.com and AEG Sports is intended to make the LA Lakers headquarters a state-of-the-art stadium.

Later, the Crypto.com Arena stadium will be equipped with a Tunnel Club that will be able to feature “a new welcoming space and an exclusive viewing experience.” The Tunnel Club is intended for a select audience and a limited number of VIP guests.

President of Crypto.com Arena, Lee Zeidman, said that the stadium revamp will provide a new experience in watching sports and music events that are loved by fans.
