TNI Commander Orders Changes In Organizational Structure Of The Quick Reaction Battering Forces
JAKARTA - TNI Commander General Andika Perkasa ordered his staff to make changes to the organizational structure of the TNI's Rapid Reaction Battering Forces (PPRC).
"Changes in the organizational structure of the TNI PPRC by adding the Deputy Commander of the TNI PPRC to two high-ranking officers from the sea and air dimensions," said TNI Commander General Andika Perkasa, quoted by ANTARA from the YouTube channel, Wednesday, August 24.
General Andika Perkasa said PPRC TNI is a joint task force of the Army (AD), Navy (AL) and Air Force (AU).
The TNI PPRC is commanded by the Army Strategic Reserve Command (Kostrad) unit which is directly under the TNI Commander. The leadership of the TNI PPRC standby status is carried out alternately for a certain period. Starting from Division 1/Kostrad, Division 2/Kostrad and Division 3/Kostrad.
The main task of the TNI PPRC is to carry out rapid action on real armed threats within seven days in the territory of the Republic of Indonesia in order to ward off, refute or destroy the opponent.
In addition to ordering his staff to change the organizational structure of the TNI PPRC, the TNI Commander also asked that each assigned unit must come from a complete unit.
"The goal is to minimize disputes in the area of operation," said the former Commander of the Army Strategic Command (Pangkostrad).
As additional information, this year the TNI PPRC will carry out the transfer of command and control (transfer of kodal) from Division 1/Kostrad under the command of Major General (Mayjen) TNI Bobby Rinal Makmun, to Division 2/Kostrad under the command of Major General TNI Syafrial.
