BPK Auditor Admits Meeting Ade Yasin But Denies 'Creating Conditions' WTP: Discusses Omnibus Law And COVID
JAKARTA - The suspect, the BPK auditor, Anthon Merdiansyah, denied that there were conditions to obtain an unqualified opinion (WTP) with the defendant the inactive Bogor Regent Ade Yasin.
Anthon Merdiansyah said this when he was a witness at a follow-up trial for alleged bribery at the Bandung Corruption Court, Wednesday, August 24.
Anthon admitted to the panel of judges, chaired by Hera Kartiningsih, that he met Ade Yasin in October 2021. However, he did not talk about WTP, but about other things.
"At that time, Mrs. Ade was grieving, her husband Mrs. Ade died. I also conveyed my condolences, the nature of the relationship. (The discussion) was related to the Omnibus law, handling of COVID, it was general in nature," he said, quoted from Antara.
Anthon, who is in charge of the West Java BPK RI inspection team in the Bogor Regency Government, admitted that he had never directly received money from regency officials or regents.
He admitted that he only received Rp. 25 million in stages from his subordinates who carried out the inspection. This amount is only a small part of what was received by two of his subordinates, namely Gerri Ginanjar Trie Rahmatullah worth Rp. 195 million and Hendra Nur Rahmatullah Kartiwa worth Rp. 230 million.
Meanwhile, BPK auditor Gerri Ginanjar Trie Rahmatullah admitted that he had prepared Rp350 million as a gift from Bogor Regency Government employees, but it was canceled.
Gerri stated that the provision of money was not in the context of conditioning the WTP for the Regional Government Financial Reports (LKPD) of Bogor Regency for the 2021 fiscal year, but as tired money.
"There was no discussion before the examination, everything took place spontaneously and as is. So, what is," said Gerri.
However, according to him, during the examination there were several findings in the field so that he coordinated with the defendant Ihsan Ayatullah as the Head of Sub-Division of Kasda BPKAD Bogor Regency.
"As far as I know, we from the team never asked the district government for money before the examination," he said.
Previously, the Prosecutor of the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) presented four suspected BPK RI auditors from the West Java Representative as witnesses at the trial with the inactive Bogor Regent, Ade Yasin, at the Bandung Corruption Court, Wednesday.
The four BPK auditors are Anthon Merdiansyah (Technical Controller), Arko Mulawan (Chairman of the Bogor Regency AdInterim Team), Hendra Nur Rahmatullah Kartiwa (examiner), and Gerri Ginanjar Trie Rahmatullah (examiner).
The four were examined as witnesses for the four defendants, namely Ade Yasin, Head of Sub-Division of Kasda BPKAD Ihsan Ayatullah, Secretary of the PUPR Service Adam Maulana, and PPK of the PUPR Service Rizki Tufik Hidayat.
